No, Shepherd is not a spyware. On the contrary, it is looking out for you. Shepherd collects signatures instead of actual content; thus, it does not violate privacy in any form. Shepherd is interested in change inside the system rather than the actual content.
No, Shepherd is incapable of reading actual contents of files. It is only interested in unexpected state changes that a rogue file might inflict on the host device.
The number of devices that can be registered under a team space is subject to the commercial contract term and will be mentioned clearly in the Service Order Form.
It takes a few seconds for the registration process to complete, however, it may take up to 5 minutes to load historical data when first registered.
